St. Augustine 10 Don Bosco Prep 6 | Non-Public State Final
The Hermits battled hard to defend their title in the highest-scoring state championship game in New Jersey history. Third-seeded St. Augustine (15-5-1) brought a dominant offensive attitude to The Rock on Monday and it paid off with their second-straight Non-Public state championship. Robert Romarino, Ty Simonet and Cam DeLeo each had hat tricks and the trio accounted for all 10 Hermit goals in the win. No. 1 seed Don Bosco (24-3-1) only held the lead once in the state final – Erik Wrynn had a hat trick in the loss for the Ironmen.

Morris Knolls-Hills 4 Gov. Livingston-New Providence 3 | Public Co-Op State Final
Eli Singley’s first goal of the season in his final high school game came with 38.4 seconds left to break a 3-3 tie and give Morris Knolls/Hills a magical run to the school’s fifth state championship on the ice. Governor Livingston had a 3-1 lead early in the second period before the Golden Eagles mounted their comeback. Michael Simone made it 3-2 at the end of two periods and Luke McCloud’s 33rd goal tied the game with 9:14 to go. Simone slid the pass across to Singley for the game-winner. Morris Knolls was 8-10-1 in the regular season but rolled off five straight wins in the state playoffs to win the Co-Op title.

Pingry 2 Immaculate Heart Academy 1 | Girls’ State Final
Pingry defeated Immaculate Heart Academy 2-1 for the Girls Ice Hockey State Championship. After a scoreless first period, Charlotte Diemar struck three minutes into the second to give Pingry the lead, Diemar added another goal following an IHA goal for the go-ahead score in the same period. It’s the first Girls Ice Hockey State Championship for Big Blue.

Northern Highlands vs. Manalapan | Public State Final | 7:45 Puck Drop
Vincenzo Capano scored off a scramble in front of the net with 6:19 to go in the third period gave Northern Highlands its third state championship in the last six years. The Highlanders built a 3-1 lead before Manalapan stormed back. Manalapan’s Michael Schmelzer scored a pair of goals including the game tying goal in the third period. Brent Beswick and Capano both had a goal and three assists. After Beswick scored a shorthanded goal in the second, the junior set up Capano’s game winner.
