The Dragons turned in one of the most impressive performances of the season so far, as they dominated the Hermits in a battle between top teams in South Jersey. Kingsway (7-0) won eight of the ten contested bouts on the night, with Sly VanMorter (285), Josh Palmucci (132), Jake Gentile (138), and Cooper Pontelandolfo (152) all winning by fall. Dennis Virelli (182) won by fall for St. Augustine (2-2).

Mount Olive 57 Newton 12

Mount Olive continues to prove they’re not only one of the best teams in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, but also in the entire state. The Marauders won 11 of 14 bouts – eight of which came with bonus points – to capture their sixth straight win of the season. Cristiano Santos (HWT), Daniel Barra (126), Hunter Perez (170), Anthony Moscatello (182), Riley Camoia (195) and Jackson Youth (225) all collected pins in the winning effort. Newton’s bright spot on the night was a pinfall victory by Nathan Fitt at 132 pounds.

Southern 58 Toms River North 13

The Rams rebounded from their first dual loss of the season to South Plainfield with a dominating performance against Shore Conference rival Toms River North. Southern opened with back to back wins at 182 and 195 and closed out the match with four straight wins and two forfeits. In all, the Rams had six pinfalls in the win to improve to 7-1.
