Trenton 81 St. Thomas Aquinas 70 | Boys

No. 17 Trenton (22-1) defeated No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas (20-3) 81-70 in one of biggest upsets of the Boys Basketball season thus far. Trenton led 24-16 after the first quarter, 17 first half points from Chris Wilson allowed the Tornadoes to go ahead 62-44 at the break. Trenton pushed the lead to as many as 20 in the third, but St. Thomas Aquinas crept within five points in the closing moments of the fourth quarter thanks to a solid performance from Michael “Deuce” Jones. Jones led all scorers with 29 points. Davontay Hutson finished with 25 points for Trenton.

Bishop Eustace 51 Haddon Heights 42 | Boys | Camden County Tournament | 2nd Round

The fourth-seeded Crusaders were tied with the 13th-seeded Garnets at the half, but pulled away late to advance in the inaugural Camden County Tournament. Joe Callahan led the way with 19 points, while James Iannelli added 14 points for Eustace (14-6). Heights fell to (14-7) with the loss. The Crusaders will face fifth-seeded Sterling in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
