Pennington 2 Hunterdon Central 0 | Girls

Reigning NJSIAA Prep A Champions, Pennington defeated Hunterdon Central 2-0 to hand the Red Devils their first loss of the season. The matchup also featured Rutgers University commit’s Kylie Daigle and 2019’s Gatorade Player of the Year Emily Mason going head to head. Daigle would get things started on an early penalty kick goal in the first half, from there the Red Raider defense was able to control Central to keep them off the board and Morgan Kotch added another score in the 45th minute. Keeper Sophia Kavulich ended the afternoon with eight saves as Pennington improves to 2-0. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Holmdel 2 Ocean Township 0 | Boys

Holmdel continued their winning ways as the Hornets extended their state-best unbeaten streak all the way to 60 consecutive games. Brendan Worobel and Connor Hinds each scored while Tommy Chyzowich earned the clean sheet in the win.
