Hudson Catholic 68 Rutgers Prep 60 | Boys | New Year’s Jump Off

Tahaad Pettiford scored 22 points to lead a Hudson Catholic rally from a 13 point second quarter deficit and score a quality ranked win at the Zone 6ix New Year’s Jump Off.  Rutgers Prep had a 29-16 lead with 2:56 to go in the second quarter before the Hawks closed out the half with a 10-0 run highlighted by a Pettiford four point play.  Trailing 29-26 at the half, Hudson Catholic erupted for 31 points in the third quarter and led the rest of the way.  Keith McKnight added 15 and Jayvon Rampersant had 11 points and 7 boards for the Hawks (4-4).  Rutgers Prep got a career high 28 point, 7 steal effort from Myles Parker.

Saint Peter’s Prep 73 Ramapo 46 | Boys | New Year’s Jump Off

Nico Pena scored 16 of his 23 points in the first half as the Marauders raced out to a 19-point halftime lead on the way to a dominating effort against the 5th ranked team in the latest state polls.  St. Peter’s Prep (6-0) had four players in double digits with Pena’s 23, Peyton Miller (15), Richie Rosa (13) and Mason Santiago (11).
