You know it’s the final day of the New Jersey high school hockey season when teams are skating out onto the ice at the Prudential Center. We’ll have full highlights and reaction from the girls’ state championship and all four boys’ state title games today. Check in early and often!


Morristown-Beard 7 Princeton Day 0 | Girls’ State Championship

Morristown-Beard (17-3-1) defeated Princeton Day (14-6) 7-0 in the second annual Girls Ice Hockey State Championship to capture back to back titles under former New Jersey Devil and Coach, Bruce Driver . The Crimson led 2-0 after the first period following goals from Lilli Warnock and Logan Sutera. However, the story of the afternoon was Penn State commit Leah Stecker who finished with four goals and an assist. Goalie Gracie Meyers had 11 saves for Mo-Beard. Northern Highlands 3 Middletown North 1 | Public B State Championship

Will Fuller’s second goal of the game in the third period was the game-winner as the Highlanders win their second state championship on the ice. Fuller scored in the second period to put Northern Highlands on top 1-0 before Jace Koenigsmark tied the game late in the second period. Brent Beswick sealed the championship with an empty-net goal. Sophomore goalie Daniel Moor had 30 saves in the win. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from the Public “B” state championship game at the Prudential Center:


Gov. Livingston 2 Morris Knolls 0 | Public C State Championship

The Highlanders’ 2021-2022 hockey team will be one that will forever go down in Gov. Livingston history. A 29-save shutout from Shane Cook, paired with a stellar defensive effort, lifted the Highlanders to the win. Phillip Kousaftes’ goal in the first period was key and Alex Nasreddine’s empty-netter sealed the deal.

Ridge 6 Livingston 1 | Public A State Championship

Reese Judson scored a pair of goals 26 seconds apart late in the first period to stake Ridge to a 3-0 lead and the Red Devils pulled away to win its third state championship in the last six years. Christian Brothers Academy 3 Delbarton 0 | Non-Public State Championship

The Colts have officially laid their claim as one of the single-most success hockey teams in New Jersey. CBA (27-0-3) brought expert goaltending, timely offensive plays and passion to the ice as they become the first team since St. Augustine (2007) to finish undefeated. John Donohoe led the way with a 22 save shutout while Patrick Reilly netted a pair of goals.
