Pennington 2 West Windsor-Plainsboro South 0 – Mercer County Boys Soccer Tournament Finals

Jack Borden scored on a volley in the first half and Ousmane Gueye made a magnificent strike for his 15th goal of the season to give Pennington its fourth consecutive Mercer County title.  Watch highlights of the Red Raiders 11th win of the season along with great post-match interviews:

Pennington 3 No. 1 Allentown 0 – Mercer County Girls Soccer Tournament 

The Mercer County Tournament Girls Final featured top seed and No. 1 in the NJ Top 20 Allentown taking in fourth seed Pennington. The undefeated Red Birds in search of their first MCT title were derailed when St. Joseph University commit Jaydin Avery began the game with two electrifying scores to give Pennington a 2-0 lead at the break. In the final half Kelli Collins would add another score for the Red Raiders as they claim their first county championship in four years. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

No. 2 Montclair 1 No. 15 West Orange 0 | Essex County Boys Soccer Tournament Semifinals

This was a must-see rematch! Earlier in the season, the Mounties took down the Mountaineers 3-0, but with a spot in the Essex County final on the line both teams turned it up a notch. This time the Mountaineers took Montclair into double overtime, but in the end, it was the Mounties who came away with their 16th win of the season.
