Steinert 5 Allentown 4

It has been a long week for Steinert baseball, The Spartans played their third game in a row on Friday afternoon. 48 hours prior they went 15 innings with Notre Dame and due to a surplus of injuries they took on Allentown with a short roster. However, Steinert managed to find a way to adjust against Colonial Valley Conference favorite Allentown. The Spartans got ahead 3-0 in the fourth inning. Following a sac fly, an RBI and a 2 run homerun from catcher Chris Reeder Allentown gained the lead in the sixth. After tying it the bottom of the inning Steinert walked away victorious on a Jake Muller double in the bottom of the second. With the Mercer County Tournament beginning on 5/7 a rematch between these two wouldn’t be surprising. Watch the highlights now:

Wall – 7 Ocean – 0 | Shore Conference Baseball

Junior RHP Ryan Napolitano tossed a complete game shut out with 8 strikeouts, while Andy Lenneper went 2-for-3 with a HR and 2 RBI’s as Wall Township recorded a 7-0 win over Ocean. The Crimson Knights are now 14-3 on the season and are looking like a top contender in upcoming post season play. Raritan 9 Saint John Vianney 2 – Shore Conference

Zack Johnston scattered six hits over six innings striking out 11 and the Rockets used four-run frames in the 4th and 5th innings to beat the Lancers and clinch at least a share of the Shore Conference “A” Central title.  JSZ has the highlights of Raritan’s 13th win of the season:

Ryan Kasmer wins JSZ Game Ball
