Middletown South’s vaunted defense delivered another impressive performance to close out the 2021 season. A pick-six from Jake Czwakiel, two additional interceptions and a forced fumble and recovery powered the Eagles to a win over the rival Lions on the annual Thanksgiving Day game. South has won 21 of the last 22 games between these two teams and they lead the all-time record at 34-12-1.

Hackensack 28 Teaneck 0

Hackensack (4-6) claimed their eighth straight Thanksgiving Day game victory with a 28-0 shut out against rival Teaneck. Army West Point commit Curtis Whiting kicked off the game with an opening drive touchdown in the first quarter and another in the fourth. At half time the Comets honored legendary high school football coach Greg Toal.

Holy Spirit 49 Atlantic City 8

The Boyd-Marczyk Trophy will stay in Absecon for the fourth-straight year as the Spartans dominated the Vikings in their annual Thanksgiving rivalry game. Elijah Steward made the most of his final game for Holy Spirit (5-6), hauling ten catches for 196 yards and three touchdowns. Steward also broke the school’s single-season receiving record in the win. Greg Williams scored the lone touchdown in the loss for Atlantic City (3-7).
