Red Bank Catholic 20 Wall 16

After a shocking blowout loss to Rumson-Fair Haven last week, Wall had prepared to take down Red Bank Catholic and put a tally in the win column. Thanks to Alex Brown and Co., that just never happened for the Crimson Knights. Brown tossed three touchdowns and 168 yards, including a game-winning touchdown to Alex Bauman with 1:23 left in the fourth quarter, to complete a comeback win. Jake Davis led Wall (0-2) with 135 rushing yards and led 16-7 going into the fourth. Red Bank Catholic (2-0) now prepares for Raritan in Week Three.

JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights and reaction from Red Bank:

Rumson-Fair Haven 14 Donovan Catholic 0

The RFH defense has back-to-back shutouts over the top two teams in the Shore Conference from 2020 after blanking the Griffins on Friday night in their home opener. Dan Garvey had a 6-yard TD run in the first quarter and Colin Kennedy cashed in on a QB dive from one yard out in the opening drive of the third quarter. Rumson’s defense was paced by John Lista and Aiden Moriarity who were able to disrupt a Donovan offense that scored 54 points in week one. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Rumson:

Delsea 41 Clearview 13

The Crusaders led 14-6 at the half, before putting the Pioneers away after the break. Luke Maxwell rushed for a pair of touchdowns, while Zach Maxwell rushed for a score and threw for a TD. Defensively, Dom Teti had two interceptions to lead Delsea (2-0). Bobby Counsellor had a touchdown catch for View (2-1) in the loss.
