Colonia 62 Mendham 43 | Boys | North 2 Group 3 Final
What does “The Patriot Way” stand for in Middlesex County? Plenty and plenty of wins. Colonia (27-4) secured its fourth-consecutive sectional championship Friday night to keep their stellar season going. RJ Wortman led the Patriots with 16 points while Aiden Derkack (14 points) and Jayce Rodriguez (12 points) played big roles. Mendham (24-6) got a valiant effort from senior Kevin King, who dropped a game-high 23 points in the loss.

Colts Neck 52 Ewing 43 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 3 Final
Nolan Duddy delivered a career high 12 points on four three-pointers and the Cougars held off a fourth quarter Ewing rally to win the school’s second section title in school history. Lukas Sloane had eight of his 11 in the first quarter and Dan Buoncore added 10 in a balanced scoring attack. Colts Neck (18-9) last won a section title in 2016. Ewing (22-8) was led by Terrance Traylor’s 10 points.

Ocean City 66 Timber Creek 53 | Boys | South Jersey Group 3 Final
The Red Raiders pulled away from the Chargers down the stretch to capture their first sectional title since 1999. Luke Tjoumakaris controlled the paint and scored a game-high 24 points for top-seeded OC (22-6). Josh Lenko added 20 points in the victory. Jerome Ford scored a team-high 13 points for second-seeded Creek (19-10) in the loss. Ocean City advances to face Colts Neck in the Group 3 state semifinals.

Cherry Hill West 50 Moorestown 43 | Girls | South Jersey Group 3 Final
The Lions seized control in the second half and pulled away in the fourth to secure the first South Jersey Group 3 championship in program history. Kirsten Gibson scored seven points in the first quarter on her way to a team-high 17 points in the victory. Molly Bovell had a big second half to finish with 16 points, while Addison Petti went for ten points for top-seeded Cherry Hill West (23-4). Analyse Intenzo poured in a game-high 21 points, with Rima Takla and Julia Blong each adding ten points for second-seeded Moorestown (23-8). Cherry Hill West will face Central champion Neptune in the Group 3 state semifinals next Tuesday.
