Don Bosco Prep 5 CBA 3

Matt Bossolina’s two goal game gave the Ironmen a boost to defeat the Colts for the since time since 2019. Bossolina was one of three Don Bosco Prep (1-0) players to score on power play goals Friday night. Matt Shpungin notched three assists and Ferry Netusil accounted for a goal and an assist in the victory. CBA (0-1) got a two-goal effort from Sean Guinnessey in the loss.

Robbisnville 5 West Windsor-Plainsboro 1

Robbinsville begins the year 1-0 following a 5-1 victory on opening night against West Windsor-Plainsboro. Luke Gensinger scored in the first period to give the Ravens an early lead, they would go ahead 2-0 entering the second. Gensinger finished with two goals an assist.

Brick 9 Toms River North 2

Opening night festivities in Brick featured plenty of fireworks and one of the great traditions in New Jersey hockey. Jake Toye scored Brick’s first goal of the season to set off the annual Teddy Bear Toss in support of Toys for Tots. The senior kept the party going with four goals and an assist in the victory. Matt Morris made an impressive debut as the freshman collected a hat trick for Brick. Gavin Majors capped off the night with two goals in the third period. Ty Schneider scored twice in the loss for Toms River North.
