It’s the final Friday before the public state playoffs begin and JSZ has you covered with six incredible matchups from around the Garden State. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

St. Peter’s Prep 13 Don Bosco Prep 10 | Super Football Conference

Bradley Abraham kicked a 20-yard field goal as time expired to give the Marauders (6-2) an upset win over the #1 team in New Jersey.  Don Bosco Prep (6-2) trailed 10-3 in the fourth quarter before Isaiah Alvarez had a 76-yard punt return to tie the game.  Fearing another punt to the Rutgers commit, St. Peter’s Prep ran a fake punt with Ty’ire Clark getting a big gain to the 33-yard line.  Abraham missed a go-ahead field goal with just over a minute to go but a roughing the kicker penalty gave Abraham a second chance and he delivered the game winner.

Paramus Catholic 21 DePaul Catholic 7 | Super Football Conference

No. 4 Paramus Catholic (5-4) exacted 10 years worth of revenge on Friday night as they knocked off No. 13 DePaul (4-4) for the first time since 2016 by a final score of 21-7. The Paladins defense was the story of the evening, forcing multiple sacks, two interceptions (Chaz Cusimano, Matthias Belgrave), and a turnover on downs late in the 4th. Offensively, Penn State commit Chu Odoh led the way with 88 rushing yards, a rushing TD, and a 41-yard receiving TD off a screen from QB Walker Snee. Snee also found WR and Temple commit Nehki Martin early in the first for his first TD pass of the night. Snee, however, would not play in the second half due to an ankle injury he suffered late in the first half.

RB Gavin Sblendorio had the lone score for the Spartans in the loss.
