Ridgewood 47 Ramapo 42

This Super Football Conference showdown between two perennial public powerhouses very well could go down as the Game of the Year in North Jersey. After getting shut out a week ago, the Maroons exploded for seven touchdowns and rode their imposing Wing-T offense to a statement win against the previously undefeated Raiders. Red Kossick led the way for Ridgewood (5-2) with two touchdown catches and another touchdown on the ground. Ramapo (7-1) was constantly brought back into the game thanks to junior QB Jack Grusser, who accounted for five total touchdowns.

JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from a roller coaster ride in Ridgewood:

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 34 Woodbridge 33

Scotch Plains-Fanwood (5-4) defeated Woodbridge (6-2) 34-33 in a Big Central Conference upset thriller that was a scoring frenzy from start to finish. Locked into a tight 14-7 game at halftime, the fourth quarter is when things got hectic as the final two minutes of play saw three touchdowns. Trailing 34-33 with 58 seconds left in regulation, Woodbridge opted to go for a two point conversion, but was denied to subsequently end the game. Scotch Plains-Fanwood Running back Anthony Robinson rushed for three touchdowns and eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
