Trenton 57 Hopewell Valley 37

With the regular season coming to a close the Colonial Valley Conference is getting set for the upcoming Mercer County Tournament. Trenton came into Friday’s match up against 17-3 conference rival Hopewell Valley needing to win the next two games to obtain their first division title in four years the Tornados took a lead at the end of the first quarter but really turned it on in the second to go ahead by 10 at half time. The lead would eventually rise to 20 thanks to a 15 point effort from Reggie James to help Trenton earn a 57-31 over Hopewell Valley. The Tornadoes will rematch Hightstown who they just took down less than a week ago after falling behind 14 early in that game. Watch the highlights now:

Steinert 53 Princeton 42

After upsetting Top 20 ranked Ewing three games Prior Steinert was back at it with another Colonial Valley Conference show down, this time it was against Princeton. The Little Tigers looking to do some upsetting of their own took a 13-7 lead over Steinert at the end of the first quarter. However, after trailing for most of the second the Spartans relied on the three point shot of Natalie Mehl to help give them a 22-17 lead going into half time. In the second half Steinert would begin to find their rhythm and thanks to a 16 point effort from Tatiana Dorner the Spartans were able to come away with a 53-42 victory over Princeton.
