Easton (PA) 16 Phillipsburg 13

Nahjee Adams ran for two touchdowns including a 48-yard run in the third quarter to give the Red Rovers a fifth consecutive Thanksgiving win over their bitter rivals. It’s 113th time these two teams have met in one of the nation’s oldest and most storied Thanksgiving traditions. JSZ’s Kenneth Bradley was there to bring you the highlights from Lafayette:

Vineland 27 Millville 26

In one of the country’s oldest rivalry games, the Fighting Clan rallied not once, but twice to stun the Thunderbolts. Nahzir Broome rushed for two touchdowns in the victory. Virginia Tech commit Tyreem Powell threw two touchdown passes, including a TD toss to Levi Manson with just over one minute left in the game. Pitt recruit Solomon DeShields finished with two touchdown catches in the loss. Shamore Collins also had a TD catch and an interception return for a touchdown for Millville.

Middletown South 21 Middletown North 7

Middletown South’s offense was hungry on Thanksgiving Day as the Eagles’ offense gobbled up yards and first downs in the first half to take a 21-0 lead into the break. Senior Chris Lotito scored two touchdowns and had two interceptions on defense to lead the Eagles to their 31st win over Middletown North on Turkey Day.

Red Bank Regional 21 Long Branch 8

Jack Chamberlain threw two touchdown passes in windy conditions and the Bucs scored 21 unanswered points to reach the seven-win mark for a second consecutive season. Makai Mickens had a 14-yard TD run to go along with TD catches by AJ Abarno and Gordon Ogden. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from the 97th edition of RBR and Long Branch:

Lenape 24 Shawnee 7

Lenape defeated rival Shawnee 24-7 to not only earn bragging rights, but to also win a share of the WJFL American Division title. The Indians took a 21-0 lead thanks to two touchdowns from Xavier Coleman. Shawnee, set to play in the upcoming Central-South Group 4 Regional Championship, did not play its starters in the fourth quarter. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Holy Spirit 27 Atlantic City 0

The Spartans used a 21-point second quarter to topple the Vikings and win the Boyd-Marczyk Memorial Trophy for the second year in a row. Senior E’lijah Gray rushed for three touchdowns, including a 63-yard run to open the second quarter. Holy Spirit now prepares for the Non-Public Group 2 title game next week against rival St. Joseph (Hamm.) at Rutgers University.
