9-4 Trenton Catholic fresh off a close loss to No.13 Atlantic City had no time to wallow in self pity as they had another Top 20 opponent waiting for them in their next game, No. 14 Camden. “The High” was without 6’9 sophomore standout Lance Ware in their last contest as he sat due to injury, but in his first game back Ware helped deliver some big time plays including his game winning tip in with :02 left in regulation. Montgomery 54 Hillsborough 47

At the half Montgomery lead 21-14, but Hillsborough’s Elissa Nsenkyire kept the Raiders in the game. Unfortunately for Hillsborough, the Cougars did hold on through the fourth quarter to pull off the 54-47 win. The team’s leading scorer Julia Loffredo contributed 14 points. Somerville 73 Somerset Vo-Tech 48

It was Somerville’s senior night as they took on the Jaguars and those seniors ended on a high note. The star today was Chris Elwood. Elwood was unstoppable under the basket and score 26 points. Check out full highlights now:

Manasquan 52 Middletown South 38

Brad McCabe had 22 points as the Warriors staked claim to the top spot in the Shore Conference’s “B” North division.  The Warriors had a 19-10 halftime lead and were able to pull away from the Eagles.  JSZ has Shore Conference boys basketball highlights from Middletown:
