The 2020-21 season will be forever remembered in New Jersey. Not because of the missing true state championships, but due to the resiliency of programs and players all season long. We continue our summer recap series with a look at the top 10 hockey games captured by JSZ cameras!


There were no state playoffs and no trips to the Rock on the ice in 2021, but the New Jersey high school hockey season provided plenty of championship moments thanks to Conference cups. JSZ looks back on the top 10 games from the 2021 season:

#10 Manasquan scores late to earn tie at RFH

Michael Farinacci scored with 28 seconds to go in regulation to give Manasquan a 2-2 with Rumson-Fair Haven in a matchup of two Shore Conference powers. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis had the action of a great game at the Red Bank Armory:


#9 Gloucester Catholic opens the season with an upset

The Rams opened the 2021 season with a statement. GC’s 3-2 over Bergen Catholic sparked a 10-2 season and a trip to the Gordon Cup finals. Mike Frankel has the highlights from South Jersey:


#8 Alvino Stops 40 in McInnis Cup Final

Glen Rock’s Mack Alvino was sensational in a 4-0 shutout over Livingston to earn the McInnis Cup. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Codey Arena:


#7 Gloucester Catholic Reaches Gordon Cup Final

The Rams made history in a 4-1 win over Seton Hall Prep to reach the Gordon Cup championship for the first time. JSZ’s Mike Frankel was there for the big moment:


#6 CBA 3 Don Bosco Prep 3

On a snowy night in North Jersey, the Colts rallied from 3-1 down to earn an early season draw against the eventual Gordon Cup champs. Colin Grable came through with the equalizer. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the action from North Jersey


#5 Seton Hall Prep ends long skid against Delbarton

For 15 years, Delbarton’s icers had the number of Seton Hall Prep until the Pirates put forth an impressive 5-1 win over the then #5 ranked team in the state. JSZ’s Jay Cook was there for the big moment for SHP


#4 Don Bosco Prep Dominates in Gordon Cup Title Game

While there was no state championship, the Ironmen left no doubt who the top-ranked hockey team was in 2021 following a 5-0 win against Gloucester Catholic. JSZ’s Jay Cook was on hand for the Gordon Cup championship


#3 Mountain Lakes Wins Haas Cup in OT

Aiden Ready delivered the game-winner in overtime to give Mountain Lakes a 3-2 win over Mount Olive in the Haas Cup title game. JSZ’s Jay Cook was on hand for the championship drama


#2 Silverman Wins Kelly Cup in Double OT

The Kelly Cup became a marathon in a back and forth epic game between Governor Livingston and Cranford. Brady Silverman scored the game-winner in double overtime. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis was on hand for an epic battle


#1 Ducalo Wins CVC with 0.1 on the Clock

Robbinsville’s Mitchell Ducalo had the closest thing to a hockey buzzer-beater when he scored with 0.1 on the clock to give the Ravens a 5-4 win over Notre Dame to claim the CVC championship. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez was there for the incredible finish
