The Rutgers University wrestling program puts a premium on recruiting top Garden State talent and keeping those wrestlers in state.
The Scarlet Knights added another recruit to their Class of 2020 group with Shore Regional’s Al DeSantis signed on to join the program. DeSantis finished his high school career with a seventh-place finish at 138 pounds after setting new records as the single-season wins leader and all-time career wins record for the Blue Devils.
DeSantis joined JSZ’s Jay Cook for a virtual interview to discuss his commitment to Rutgers and a stellar high school career in West Long Branch.
