Rutgers Prep has become a popular stop for Division I basketball coaches looking to add talent to their rosters. Now Noah Harris, a rising senior and one of the state’s top players, is officially on his way to the D-I ranks.

Harris announced Sunday his verbal commitment to join Marist, adding to the Argonauts’ recent trend of placing players in college hoops programs.

Harris has built a reputation as one of New Jersey’s top shooters, evidenced by his 99 three-pointers and 478 points in his junior season. Harris was an offensive catalyst for head coach Matt Bloom’s 27-2 team in the 2019-2020 season, averaging 16.4 points and 7.3 assists as a point guard.

If his upward trend in scoring continues – and New Jersey has a full basketball season this winter – he should easily shatter the 1,000 career point mark. Harris is only 121 points away.

Harris figures to be a key contributor for the Argonauts in the 2020-2021 season, set to star alongside Trey Patterson, a Villanova commit and one of New Jersey’s elite players.
