Blake Lerner’s shot from behind the goal line in the corner deflected into the net with :44 seconds left to give Rumson-Fair Haven a 5-4 win over Hunterdon Central in the Middletown Holiday Tournament. The Bulldogs played come from behind throughout the final two periods. Jack Wyckoff’s goal in the second period tied the game at 3 and after the Red Devils took a 4-3 advantage, Colin Anderson got the equalizer in the third period. Hunterdon Central came into the game with a 5-1-1 record and was ranked #18 in the latest NJ.com state poll. RFH improves to 5-4 with the win. Watch the highlights from Tuesday afternoon:
