Cameron Hughes and Janey Sypeck scored first-half goals to stake RFH to a 2-0 lead and held on to hand the Mustangs (4-1) its first loss of the season. Mackenzie Fanning scored in the 33rd minute to cut the deficit to 2-1 but RFH provided pressure for most of the second half and keeper Eva Kalman had a seven save effort to preserve the win.
