Sadiq Palmer needed 12 points to reach 1000 in his career and it looked bleak for three quarters. But Palmer made a late surge in the 4th quarter scoring 5 straight points to reach 999. It appeared the senior reached the plateau as he banked in a shot, but an offensive foul took the points off the board and fouled Sadiq out of the game. Following the call, RBR’s defense would get two critical stops and make 4 free throws in the final 10 seconds to secure the win.
