Raritan beats Monmouth, weather to advance in state softball

Raritan 7 Monmouth Regional 0 – Central Jersey Group 2 First Round

Erynn Boyle pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and the Rockets busted open the game with a four-run fifth inning to advance in the NJSIAA state softball playoffs.  Kristen Tigar was 3-3 with 2 runs, a double and an RBI and Sarah O’Leary launched a solo homer to get Raritan its 15th win of the season.   The game was able to be completed with ominous skies and threatening weather just minutes away.  JSZ has the highlights and a Monmouth Building Center Game Ball presentation to Annalesa DiLaurenzio:
