2016 was Matt Cilento’s first season as Head Coach at Point Pleasant Boro, but he was no stranger to the program. Cilento had spent the previous nine years on the coaching staff in Point Pleasant, which made for an easy transition in 2016. After an 8-2 season and another B-South Divisional Title, Point Boro hopes to take their local success statewide, as the Panther’s chase their first sectional title since 2005. Quarterback James Fara and Running Back Tanner Gordon return to lead the triple-option attack. The two combined for an astonishing 2237 yards and 30 Touchdowns last season, and are hoping to make a deep postseason run in 2017.
