Coming into the 2017 season Kavon Lewis was a backup wide receiver who sat most of his Freshman year. Then Penns Grove Head Coach John Emel approached him about playing Quarterback and now the former Benchwarmer has 1,338 yards passing, 15 touchdowns and just one interception this season as he has helped lead his team to a 5-1 record thus far. Last week against Glassboro he racked up 306 passing yards and 5 TD’s, for that he is Nery’s WJFL game ball winner for Week 6!

Each week, JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez posts ten nominees from outstanding performances in the WJFL.  Voting is open now through Tuesday at 3:00 pm.  The winner of the poll will get a JSZ Game Ball presented during a mid-week practice with his teammates.

Coaches: You can nominate your top performer every week.  Just drop a line to no later than Saturday evening and we’ll nominate your player.
