The Shore Conference went one for three in the state semifinals.  SSZ has finals of Gloucester Catholic’s 9-4 win over Saint Rose at Monmouth University.  Southern Regional fell to Hunterdon Central and Manasquan is on its way to the Group 2 state championship

The Rams broke a 4-4 tie with a five run fourth inning to advance to the Non-Public “B” state championship.  Gloucester Catholic scored a pair of runs in the first and second innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead.  Saint Rose answered in the third inning with four runs.  Brendan Hueth drove in a pair with a double down the third base line and Joe Volpe followed with a two run single, but the Rams loaded the bases and manufactured five runs to put the game away.  An outstanding season for the Purple Roses comes to an end with a 24-4 record:
