Ocean 6 Hopewell Valley 3 | Public “C” First Round

Alex Haar had a five-point night to surpass 200 career points and Aiden Mumm’s hat trick gave Ocean a win over a Hopewell Valley team that eliminated the Spartans in the last year’s state playoffs.  Hopewell Valley had a 2-0 and 3-1 lead before the Spartans pumped in five straight goals.  Aiden Mumm scored two goals in the second to make it a 3-2 game at the end of two.  Owen Mumm’s blast from the point tied the game at three and Leo Labush gave the Spartans its first lead of the game.  Haar scored his 51st of the season followed by an empty netter by Aiden Mumm to get the hat trick.  Haar had a five-point night with a goal and four apples.  Ocean will face 4th seed Morris Knolls in the round of 16.
