Fort Lee’s Jah’Nel Lewis Drops 39 on North Bergen
Following an 0-2 start to the season, Fort Lee has rattled off 13 straight wins and has emerged from the first month of the season as one of the better teams in Bergen County. The spark to that streak? Jah’Nel Lewis. The senior has been the Bridgemen’s top scorer all season and she dropped 39 points against North Bergen on Jan. 12. Lewis earned 609 votes (36.75 percent) of the tally to win the Week 2 North Jersey Girls Basketball Game Ball.
Ganton Paces West Essex with 34 in SEC Victory
Every good team needs a go-to senior, and that’s exactly what Joe Ganton is for West Essex. Ganton is averaging 24.2 points per game so far this season but set a new high-water mark on Jan. 10 with a career-high 34 point outing against Montclair in a Colonial Division game. Ganton brought in over 1,200 votes (39.6 percent) to win JSZ’s Week 2 North Jersey Boys Basketball Game Ball.
