JSZ has the biggest boys soccer game in the Garden State on this Thursday! Delbarton head soccer coach David Donovan had the chance for his 600th career win, but his No. 4 Green Wave had No. 11 Mendham in their way. Check out the action below.

Delbarton 3 Mendham 0

No. 4 Delbarton soccer (13-1-1) continued their hot streak on Thursday with a 3-0 win over No. 11 Mendham (9-4-1), and gave their head coach David Donovan his 600th career win in the process. Donovan, the 4th-winningest active coach in New Jersey boys soccer, has helped guide the Green Wave to nine state titles over his previous 33 seasons with the Green Wave.

Win No. 600 had a lot to do with the Wave’s leading goalscorer Cortland Martin. The sophomore scored two goals in the game: one on a 34th-minute penalty kick, the other off an assist from Evan Johnson in the 74th. Junior Henry Ferro followed up with a phenomenal long-range free kick goal in the 77th to add the exclamation point. This win gives Delby their 14th straight game unbeaten since losing their opener, their 9th straight win, 5th straight shutout, and 12th overall on the year. They will face Dover in Saturday’s Morris County Tournament semifinals as the top-seed.
