There is a new No. 1 nationally ranked soccer team in the United States and that squad resides in the Brick City.

St. Benedict’s Prep (8-0) defeated Ohio powerhouse St. Ignatius (10-0) in a matchup of the top-two nationally ranked programs in the country. Gray Bees keeper Marcilio Soares made a number of incredible saves in this game to help end the Wildcats’ 78-match unbeaten streak. Yuvrajeer Nagra and Kwaku Agyabeng tallied both goals for St. Benedict’s Prep in the win. Benedict’s now holds a 2-0-1 all-time series record against St. Ignatius.
