Middletown North’s senior class left a lasting legacy on the Lions football program. The Lions Thanksgiving win over rival Middletown South ended a 16-year losing skid and coach Steve Bush saw his team make it all the way to Rutgers and the state finals. It’s a tall order for the 2017 Lions to reach last year’s 9-3 mark, but Middletown North is building its program to be much more than a one-hit wonder. Donald Glenn, now at Wagner, was one of New Jersey’s top quarterbacks last season. Middletown North is keeping it in the family as younger brother Sean Glenn takes over the offense. Connor Welsh was hampered by injury in his junior season, but has the ability to be a 1,000 yard rusher. The defense is anchored by Austin DeWise who is coming off an 11 sack season. Jay Cook breaks down Middletown North following a Saturday scrimmage against Raritan:
