Middle Township 32 Steinert 31
Cam Hamer’s quarterback sneak from one yard out with 2:31 to go gave Middle Township an exciting 32-31 win over Steinert on Thursday night. The game was a late scheduled contest after both teams had originally scheduled games against teams that did not field a varsity team in 2017. Steinert rallied from 16-0 down in the second quarter. Josh Lyons made a tremendous juggling 43 yard TD catch on the final play of the first half to cut the Steinert deficit to 24-17 at the half. Jordan Morrison ran for 127 yards and Steinert roared back to take a 31-24 lead, but a safety and the game winning drive by Hamer proved to be the difference. Steinert had a chance to win it as time expired, but a game winning field goal attempt was wide left. Watch the highlights from a fantastic game in South Jersey:
