Two more remarkable performances from North Jersey were honored in this week’s RWJ Barnabas Health Game Balls presentations. Let’s take a trip up to Bergen County and meet the two winners.

Marco Goes Wild in Thrilling Win Over Park Ridge

Waldwick’s Anthony Marco brought his “A” game in an NJIC Patriot Division showdown against Park Ridge on April 11. Marco went 3-3 from the plate with a pair of HR’s and five total RBI. He held the Owls off the board late with a clean 1.2 innings of work on the mound before cracking the walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning. Marco brought in 32 percent of the fan vote to win the game ball.

JSZ’s Jay Cook presented Anthony with his award during practice this week:

Nuziale Walks It Off for Fair Lawn

Conference games always have the tendency to go down to the wire. That was the case on April 13 when hosted Wayne Hills. Cutters’ junior Ava Nuziale stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 3-3 game and delivered a walk-off hit to help secure the win. Nearly 36 percent of the fan vote submitted came in favor of Ava Nuziale.
