Manasquan senior guard Dara Mabrey has made her college choice.  Mabrey announced on her Twitter account that she’ll be playing Division I basketball in the ACC for the Virginia Tech Hokies:

Over the past three years, Dara has won three straight championships and has reached the Tournament of Champions finals in all three years, winning the overall title in her freshman campaign.  Her older sisters, Marina and Michaela went to Notre Dame.  Michaela has graduated and Marina is set to begin her junior season.  Dara joins a Hokies program that won 20 games and reached the WNIT quarterfinals last year.  Mabrey averaged 19.8 points per game in her junior season winning numerous awards including Jersey Sports Zone’s Shore Conference Player of the Year (Miss Hoop Zone).  Watch our feature on Mabrey and get a glimpse of what makes her one of the top recruits in the country.
