The Rumson-Fair Haven girls lacrosse team never gave up the lead in a 14-11 win over Bernards in the Group 2 state finals at Kean University.  SSZ has the highlights and post-game reaction from the Lady Bulldogs first ever Group Finals triumph

On a hot day on the turf at Kean, RFH used a balanced scoring attack to win its first ever Group 2 state championship.  Kyra Weiner had 3 goals and 2 assists and Morgan Steinhacker also had a hat trick to lead the Lady Bulldogs.  Allie Geiger scored the first goal of the game and first goal of the second half.  Geiger had two goals along with Jacqueline Littelson and Maggie Jennings.  Bernards got as close as 5-4 in the first half, but RFH pulled away to take an 8-5 lead at the half and scored the first three goals of the second half.  Watch the highlights and post-game interviews from Kean:

 

Oak Knoll 16 Shore Regional 3

Shore Regional fell short in its quest for a state championship as Oak Knoll built a 12-1 lead at the half in a dominating effort.  Highlights of this game are coming soon to SSZ
