Lioudakis back-to-back goals gives Eagles spot in state quarterfinals

Middletown South 3 Point Pleasant Boro 1 – Public “B” Round of 16

Nick Lioudakis scored back-to-back goals in the second period to wipe out a 1-0 deficit and Clay Simonsen turned away 22 shots to get the Eagles into the Public “B” Quarterfinals.  Eric Dahl gave Point Pleasant Boro a 1-0 lead at the end of one period, but Lioudakis stepped up thanks to tough work on the boards from Deven Ralph on both goals.  Ralph scored in the third period as the Eagles await the winner of Ridgewood and Livingston.  Watch the highlights of Middletown South’s win here:
