Shayne Simon named finalist for US Army’s Doc Blanchard Award

Saint Peter’s Prep linebacker and Notre Dame commit Shayne Simon has been named as one of four finalists for the Doc Blanchard Award, given to a US Army All-American who exemplifies the characteristics of former Heisman Trophy Winner Felix “Doc” Blanchard, an Army running back who teamed with Glenn Davis to score 97 touchdowns and earn the duo a spot in college football’s Hall of Fame.  Simon will play in the US Army All-American game on January 5 in San Antonio, Texas.

Leary named NJ Gatorade Player of the Year

Timber Creek quarterback Devin Leary has been named New Jersey’s Gatorade Player of the Year.  Leary set the state record for passing yards (9,672) and TD passes (105).  Leary was the runner-up for JSZ’s Zoneman Trophy, voted on by statewide media and coaches:
