Hunterdon Central Dominates to Repeat as HWS Champions

Hunterdon Central 12 Pope John | HWS Final

No. 10 Hunterdon Central cruised to a 12-3 victory over third seed Pope John to capture a second consecutive Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament Title. The top seeded Red Devils began with a four run first inning and added three more in the third for an early commanding 7-0 lead. Central scored four more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Logan Mason, Chase Moskowitz and Christian Petino all had two RBI’s. MVP honors went to senior catcher Brandon Padre who went 3-4 with an RBI. Pitcher James Scott got the win as he went four innings and despite giving up a three run home run in the third, allowed just 3 hits and finished with 7 strike outs.
