It was a short Christmas break for two New Jersey greats now playing big-time women’s basketball.  Check out our Jersey Sports Zone TV feature on Dara Mabrey and Faith Masonius coming back home to Manasquan!

Dara Mabrey and Faith Masonius both topped 2,000 career points during their stellar basketball careers at Manasquan High School leading the Warriors to the 2018 Tournament of Champions title.  Now this duo is playing at the top of NCAA women’s basketball.  Dara is a redshirt senior at Notre Dame where the Irish are ranked #5 in the latest AP Top 25 with a 10-1 record.  Mabrey has scored over 1,400 points in her stellar college career and is rapidly approaching 300 career three-pointers.  Masonius is a senior and the co-captain of a Terps squad that is currently ranked #16 in the national polls.  Faith came back from a torn ACL to return to Maryland’s starting lineup.  Maryland handed Notre Dame its lone loss of the season when Franklin’s Diamond Miller hit the game-winning shot.  Both players were able to enjoy a quick trip home and watch their high school alma mater face archrival Saint Rose just prior to Christmas.  JSZ caught up with the two players who still have strong ties to New Jersey on the national stage and have fond memories of their amazing high school careers:
