CBA 2 Bishop Eustace 0

Senior Mike Garvey pitched five shutout innings surrendering just one hit and three total baserunners and Luca Dalatri came on to shut the door with two scoreless frames and five strikeouts as the Colts win the South Non-Public “A” title in a 2-0 win over Bishop Eustace at Monmouth University.  CBA got all of its offense in the second inning.  Brandon Martorano belted the first pitch over the fence in left for a solo home run and Shane Turk added an RBI single up the middle to plate Dalatri for the game’s final run.  Watch the highlights and post-game reaction here:

Two more games for CBA

CBA has won a Division Title and the Monmouth County crown.  There are still two championships in play.  On Thursday, the Colts will face RBC at Toms River North for the Shore Conference Championship.  CBA is the defending champion.  On Saturday, CBA will be back in Toms River to face 29-0 and #1 NJ ranked Don Bosco Prep for the Non-Public “A” state championship.  Start time and exact location to be announced (SSZ will update this story as soon as we get it).

With Dalatri pitching two innings in relief on Wednesday, the CBA ace will be able to start in the state championship game on Saturday.
