Bulldogs lacrosse midfielder has signed to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins

He had three goals and two assists in Rumson-Fair Haven’s 11-7 state quarterfinal win over New Providence on Thursday, but Chris Hubler does a lot of things that don’t show up in the stat sheet for the Bulldogs boys lacrosse team. A two way midfielder, coach Andy Eastwood praises Hubler for his ability to get ground balls in bunches and have a motor that never stops. It’s that drive that helped Hubler sign a national letter of intent to play Division I college lacrosse at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
Rumson-Fair Haven’s boys lacrosse team is looking to win a Group 1 state championship next week. The Bulldogs have the benefit of 18 seniors who have spent most of their lives playing together. After falling to Mountain Lakes in the Group 1 state championship in 2013, the Bulldogs are one win away from reaching the state title game for a second straight year. RFH and Mountain Lakes are in the state semifinals. Both teams are one win away from a rematch.
