East Brunswick (11-1) bounced back from a loss to defeat Greater Middlesex Red Division rival Monroe (7-3) 2-0. The Top 20 ranked Bears having their 10 game win streak snapped coming in controlled the first set 25-19 to take a 1-0 lead. They would go ahead by as many as 14 in the second before Monroe rallied to cut the deficit to five. However, trailing 24-19 the Falcons would not make good on the ensuing serve as East Brunswick avoided a comeback in the final set. Junior Paige Anania ended the evening with 10 kills, 5 digs and 4 aces.
