2018 Gordon Conference Cup Playoffs
Don Bosco Prep – 5 St. Augustine Prep – 4 in OT
The undefeated Don Bosco Prep Ironmen found themselves in unfamiliar territory on their home ice, trailing twice in the final two periods to St. Augustine Prep in the Gordon Cup Semi-Final. Both times that Don Bosco found themselves down, they were able to mount a comeback. Captains George Weiner and Mickey Burns scored crucial goals in the 2nd, to give the Ironmen a 3-2 lead, but we would end regulation tied at 4 and head to a sudden death overtime. Tsubasa Konishi put in the game winner for Don Bosco just nine seconds into OT to keep the Ironmen unbeaten and secure a spot in the Gordon Cup Final vs Delbarton School.
