Brandon Martorano launched a monster 2-run HR in the 8th inning and Luca Dalatri fanned 19 Middletown South Eagles in a 3-1 extra innings win.  SSZ has all the highlights and post-game reaction

CBA 3 Middletown South 1 (8 innings)

Luca Dalatri threw 122 pitches and struck out 19 Middletown South Eagles and Brandon Martorano’s 2-run blast deep into the woods gave the Colts an extra innings win on the road.  Middletown South pitcher Jon Martin was outstanding on the hill as well, striking out 7.  CBA took a 1-0 lead on a Cid Porter RBI single, the Eagles answered in the 6th scoring the first run of the year off Dalatri.  A Tom Gannon double in the 6th resulted in the Eagles outfielder to score on a wild pitch.  Dalatri struck out 16 through seven innings to force extra innings.  With one out in the 8th, Johnny Zega came on in relief and the first pitch he threw to Martorano was blasted and proved to be the game winner.  Dalatri had 111 pitches, but was able to convince head coach Marty Kenney to come out for the 8th.  He struck out the side in 11 pitches to reach 122 and a 19 strikeout masterpiece.  Watch all the highlights and post-game reaction:
