Leo Orefice drove in the go-ahead run with two outs in the seventh as the Lions knocked off the state’s top-ranked team to reach the Diamond Classic title game. South Carolina commit Ryder Garino tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits with six strikeouts for fourth-seeded Cherry Hill West. Miami signee Tate DeRias went six-plus innings, allowing one earned run with nine strikeouts in the loss for top-seeded Gloucester Catholic (19-1). Cherry Hill West will face sixth-seeded Delsea for the Diamond Classic championship on Thursday at Alcyon Park in Pitman.
