CBA 49 Donovan Catholic 43

Donovan Catholic had CBA on the ropes in the second round of the Non-Public “A” South playoffs, but Jack Maguire delivered four points in the final minute to allow the Colts to advance.  The Griffins trailed 43-35 in the 4th quarter before going on an 8-0 run.  Riley Collins hit a long jumper to make it 43-43.  The Griffins got the ball back and held the ball for the final shot with over a minute to go.  Maguire delivered a key steal and delivered a long pass to John Salcedo, who got the ball to Maguire who hit a bank shot with 39 seconds left to make it 45-43.  After Collins missed a baseline jumper, Pat Andree threw a long pass to Maguire who slammed it down.  The Colts added two more free throws to seal the victory.  CBA will host Saint Augustine on Monday at 5:00 pm in Lincroft in the Non-Public “A” South semifinals.  Maguire had 20 and Andree had 17 in the win:
