Catholic tri-op upsets Rumson-Fair Haven with late third period goal

Aidan Grant’s goal with 1:07 left in the third period gave the trip-op of St. Rose/Donovan Catholic/Red Bank Catholic an upset win over the state-ranked Bulldogs. The third period saw great back and forth action with Brendan Shaughnessy giving Catholic a 2-1 lead with 4:23 to go. Dominick Panke tied the game at 2 with 2:33 to go before Grant’s game-winner. Catholic (6-5-1) gets a critical win as it looks to qualify for the state playoffs while RFH saw a six-game unbeaten streak snapped.
