Bridgewater-Raritan 4 Hunterdon Central 2

Over the course of just nine days, the Panthers have put themselves on the map as one of the state’s better teams in 2023.

Bridgewater-Raritan (5-1) scored their biggest win of the year to date with an impactful divisional win over Hunterdon Central (4-1). The Panthers are now in sole possession of first place in the Skyland Conference’s Delaware Division.

Matt Moore and Ethan Leon each hit RBI singles while Moore and Tim Travisano also came across the dish to score runs on wild pitches. Jason Cozzi earned the win with six strikeouts over four innings of work and Cory Rible logged a two-inning save. Rible struck out five batters to emphatically close the game.

Hunterdon Central plated both of their runs in the fourth inning on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch and a sacrifice fly.
