Carmen Sclafani and the Green Dragons are taking on the challenge of repeating as state champions
Rich’s Take
I saw Brick in the Ocean County 7 on 7 tournament and in the championship game at their home field. Their head coach, Rob Dahl, was busy coaching that week in the U.S. Army All-Shore game. The fact that a team can function without a head coach so efficiently is a credit to the Dragons leadership and their coaching staff. Leadership can never be understated and the Dragons have it with Carmen Sclafani and Ray Fattaruso. I’m looking forward to seeing Sclafani use all of the weapons at his disposal. Simon Bingeles stood out in the 7 on 7, but I’m excited to see what other talented skill players like Fattaruso and Ja’quez Johnson do on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.
